Enrichment Opportunities

At Blakehill, our pupils are given the chance to access enrichment opportunities which provide them with new experiences, extends their learning and pursues their wider goals.
Our curriculum ensures they are taught and learn a range of skills which can be linked to other areas of the curriculum.

This is done through STEM activities and workshops, after school clubs, links with neighbouring schools and the opportunity to visit businesses in the local area.

Our amazing Year 5 children fully embraced Health Week!
They explored nutritious ingredients and discovered how they support our bodies, then put their learning into action by designing their own creative food jars. To top it all off, they worked together to cook a delicious spaghetti bolognese—building skills, confidence, and healthy habits along the way.
Our afterschool cooking club has been a fantastic hands-on experience! The children have been planning their recipes, writing shopping lists, and even visiting the shop to buy their own ingredients. They’ve had so much fun making a variety of tasty treats, including pizza, biscuits, and buns. A wonderful way to build independence, teamwork, and confidence in the kitchen!
