Summer Term

What wonderful weather we have been lucky enough to have and what a busy half term we have had! Even with it being a short one, we have crammed lots in! Take a look!
Art: Dinosaur eyes

We have used modelling clay to put our learning about sculpture and design of dinosaur eyes to use. We explored using tools to shape and different ways to mark and add pieces for effect.
Science: Plants

We explored what seed dispersal is and used models to explore different dispersal methods.
PE: Orienteering

We developed our teamwork skills in orienteering. We improved our mapwork skills to navigate our way round the school grounds to specific points. We learnt that we needed to turn the map to orient ourselves with where we were and the direction of things around us.
Art: Dinosaur eyes

we put our practised sculpting skills to use to crest our final dinsoaur eye. We reviewed our first try and used this to tweak our ideas. We also learnt that we can use slip as glue to stick the different clay parts together.
Dogs Trust

We had the Dogs at Trust in and we learned lots about how to show respect and consideration to them and their reekings. We learnt that they can’t always tell us how they feel so it is important we are aware to look for signs.
Spanish

We continue to work hard in our Spanish lessons and are becoming more and more fluent.
History: Ancient Egypt

We had Eden visit us for an Ancient Egypt workshop and we learnt so much! We learnt why Egyptians built pyramids, how they did it and what they did with their dead. We even built a pyramid and had a go at the mummification process!
History: Ancient Egypt

we eve; had a go using reed pens and papyrus paper to create our own cartouche if our name .
