Spring Term

Maths: Multiplication 
We built upon our multiplication knowledge and place value knowledge to multiply 2ndigit numbers. We used place value counters to help us commute our knowledge. 
Maths: Division 
Having explored what division is and rehearsed our times tables, we used part whole models and place value counters to partition to divide. We learnt that we could partition using place value and friendly facts in order to divide 2 digit numbers.
PE: Orienteering
Our PE focus is outdoor adventurous activities with a focus on teamwork. We worked in team to discuss, try and improve our approaches to problems and had lots of fun in the process. 
PE: Gymnastics
In PE, we learnt new gymnastic moves and worked with our teammates to sequence them into a gymnastic routine. 
English: Instruction writing 
We learnt the structure of instruction texts by reassembling a WAGOLL. We then labelled the features that we could find such as headings, bullet points, imperative verbs and adverbs. 
Look how much we have grown since the start of the year! I wonder how big we will be in the summer! Time, slow down! Please! 
Young Voices
We had some VERY excited classmates head to Young Voices to sing their hearts out. They performed for us before they went. 
Computing and DT
As part of our computing and DT learning, we took part in a STEM Lego workshop. We built, designed and created our own moving monsters then made them move by programming an algorithm. It was magical! The looks on our faces tell you what we thought about it. 
Geography: Volcanoes and Earthquakes
As part of our Geography learning, we had discovered that the world is made up of tectonic plates. We worked with our peers to identify the different tectonic plates that make our world and then to notice how their name often correlated with the continent they are in,
