Harold the Giraffe and Jane visit Blakehill Primary School
This is what Jane said about their visit:
"It was a pleasure for Harold and Jane to visit Blakehill Primary School, working with pupils in Years 1, 2, 4 and 5. Across the workshops, pupils explored how to look after both their physical and mental health - from understanding feelings and emotions to recognising what makes a healthy lifestyle. There were also some brilliant discussions about friendships - what makes a good friend, why friendships sometimes fall out, and how to make things right again
Thank you to everyone at Blakehill Primary for such a warm welcome - we loved working with your pupils."
On World Mental Health Day we wore scarves to show the importance of having a good mental health. The scarf symbolises warmth and belonging. At Blakehill Primary School, we pride ourselves on creating this kind of learning environment for the children. Together we'll succeed!
Kindness in the Community week
We had a fantastic assembly about what the children would like to achieve in life and how they are going to achieve it. It was an interactive assembly where adults and the older children were asked for advice by answering questions such as 'If you could give me one piece of advice, what would it be?'
